SAAF Dassault Falcon 50 and 900EX - Broplan vacforms

These kits - 2008 releases from Broplan weren’t exactly cheap.  I got these by mail order from the Luchtvaart Hobby Shop at EUR 51.95 and EUR 57.95.  But they were must-haves for the SAAF collection, and I don’t know how many kits were produced, or how long they’ll be around, so, risking bankruptcy, I took the plunge.

Fuselages - Falcon 900EX & Falcon 50
The aircraft look similar, and have identical wings. However, the 900EX is considerably bulkier, with a fuselage as large as a DC-3. The kit instructions use the same basic assembly diagram, the only difference being that the Falcon 50 lacks a nose wheel undercarriage bay. The usual Broplan soft plastic, crisp vacform moulds make for easy breakdown and preparation of the parts. The transparencies include a full canopy cover, windows and wingroot landing light teardrop shaped covers. The kit was let down by fairly rough injection moulds for the small parts such as seats, jet fans and undercarriage doors.

Flash not being a particular problem - that can be cleaned up - but one sprue had some parts as blobs due to lack of pressure during moulding. These weren’t vital parts, and were made up from scrap.
