Go..!!!

This phrase indicates the start of a new sequence in almost all team aerobatic displays on the circuit.

At the 2008 Welkom show South African air show history was made when Annie Boone broadcast these words at the start of her leading a new Yak52 display team into action. The team comprises Pieter van der Westhuiszen and Charles Urban as wingmen and Annie in the lead. Annie was the 2006 winner of the Dennis Jankelow reach for a dream raffle and she surely has firmly grasped this dream with both hands.

  At the time Annie was a helicopter pilot, she took her prize, sold the aircraft and bought a Yak 52 and has now gone on to perform aerobatics. Her first public appearance was in the 2007 mass Yak formation displays flown in KZN and has now progressed to flying with a Rand based team of Yak flyers. May we see more of this team in the future?
