Page 4 of 7 The judging finished quite late and was followed by the ox on the spit in the nearby “boma”. Here friendship was at the order of the day with many stories exchanged on techniques, kits and various other subjects. Many enjoyed some of the Cape’s finest until the small hours before it was finally off to the accommodation. The rooms are located on the premises and resemble similar units as found at the City Lodge however on a smaller scale. Rooms were comfortable with every amenity. Sunday morning was spent at the venue before the AGM. For the first time in years we had a full room with interested and extremely positive modellers filled with enthusiasm for the hobby. Maybe it was the ambiance of the convention room which housed the AGM or the positive and enthusiastic master of ceremony, Marc Cilliers as the outgoing Chairman. Inspired to further the hobby – for sure, thanks to Marc.
