Page 3 of 5 | Naturelink attended in full force this year with amongst others the latest TBM 850, Beech 1900D and an EMBRAER EMB-120RT. Subsequently Chris Breiers demonstrated both the TBM 850 and the EMBRAER to the crowd. The TBM 850 is the very first delivery of the 850 variant and arrived in SA a few weeks before the air show. In addition Naturelink transported a number of VIPs aboard the three aircraft from their base in Gauteng, to attend the air show. | TBM 850 | Wesbank Wizards | The Wesbank Wizards with their Pitts Specials thrilled the crowd in a synchronised routine of precision flying. This team unveiled their new colours during the 2005 show at Tzaneen and have proved popular ever since. The lazy orange light in the afternoon works very well with the Wesbank colour scheme and provides the setting for beautiful photographs. | Glen Dell | For many the highlight of the show was the arrival of Glen Dell and Martin van Wyk all the way from KittyHawk near Pretoria in the highly anticipated T-28 Trojan. Although the aircraft have visited events around the country it had yet to perform a display. This all changed at Tzaneen 2007 when Glen Dell while refuelling the aircraft announced he will display the aircraft but as part of a restricted routine. And what a powerful monster it turned out to be with the ever present deep throat roar of the radial engine, during the display. Glenn Dell displayed the T-28 at optimum angles for the photographers – simply brilliant. He also displayed the Robin R2160I on behalf of Naturelink against the failing light later in the afternoon. |
