In all, one short of twenty helicopters attended the very first helicopter fly-in. A unique feature was the number of different types of helicopters which attended. For 2008 a larger event is planned for the first quarter of the year. Unfortunately both the SAAF and the SAAF Museum could not attend the fly-in. In the case of the SAAF it was due to operational requirements and the close proximity of the Tzaneen, Hoedspruit and Durban air shows. In all the organisers proved an all helicopter event in the form of a fly-in has a place on the South African aviation scene and similar events should prove very popular. Altech-Netstar was the main sponsor of the day.
