Page 3 of 4 Truck top landing and take-off with a twist | Regular visitors to airshows in SA would no doubt be familiar with the Levin family demonstrating a Piper Cub landing and take-off from a makeshift platform mounted on a bakkie. However this time after landing the Piper Cub, Scully Levin climbed into the bakkie with his daughter, Sally (who had up to now co-ordinated the stunt) boarding the Piper Cub. With Ellis Levin driving the vehicle, Sally Levin took off from the platform for a short display. It is her goal to one day perform both the landing and take-off on top off the platform. The Piper Cub is sponsored by Gabriel shock absorbers. |  Sally Levin take-off |  Airshow SA 2007 | Frans Dely with Hayley Horan launched their new book “South Africa Airshow 2007” at Rand and this is the third in the series. For a mere R60.00 the book in full colour provides an insight into the South African airshow circuit. Further, people are encouraged to have their books signed by the various pilots who attend the various airshows. Frans Dely thanked all the contributors to the 2007 book at the pilot briefing. |
