The Silver Falcons (Afrikaans name: Die Silwer Valke) aerobatic team comprises some of the finest pilots in the SAAF. All were instructors at the Flying Training School at Langebaanweg. The aircraft were standard Mk1s with consecutive numbers on their tailfins. Later the team became part of 85 CFS at Hoedspruit, but after SAAF 75 the team effectively disbanded. During 1999 the team was revived largely due to efforts by Lt Col Dave Knoesen. New aircraft being the Pilatus PC7 Mk II Astra. Team moved to Langebaan and is still operated out of Langebaan till this day. During 2005, Team number 63 performed their brilliant routines at various airshows throughout South Africa. Also included on a far larger scale is the display of a ground routine involving the ground crew.
