ImageThe wings were now cemented to the fuselage and the wing root gaps were filled and sanded. I removed the flap actuators on the wings. New items are supplied in etched metal by Eduard which are far more accurate. Small slots were filed into the wings for the attachment of the flap actuators.

All the filling and sanding had removed many of the recessed panel lines. These were now rescribed with the help of scribing templates, a sharp needle and a steady hand. The panel lines were finally sanded with a very fine wet and dry paper. Also the tailplanes were applied at this stage.

The undercarriage legs were modified with etched metal torque links which replaced the plastic moulded items. Shown on the left is a leg with the original plastic torque link while on the right is a modified leg. Also the nose wheel leg has been modified with an etched metal torque link. The undercarriage legs were then cemented to the aircraft.
